Our Registrar Program
Myall Medical Practice has a long history of involvement in General Practice Training accepting Registrars from both Training Consortia servicing our area. We currently have Registrars enrolled with GPTQ - General Practice Training Queensland and QRME - Queensland Rural Medical Education.
There are five full-time accredited supervisors within the practice, with diverse experience and differing modes of practice. Continuing education is a priority for all of our practitioners, including further training in teaching for our supervisors. We endeavour to foster a supportive environment for all of our staff members.
Myall Medical Practice accepts Medical Students for community placement in General Practice and rural medicine. We supervise and train students from the University of Queensland, Griffith University and James Cook University. Through the John Flynn placement Program we can also receive interstate students.
Myall Medical is a busy, diverse general practice with experienced rural practitioners and excellent support staff including six indispensable nurses.
We are able to offer training opportunities in all of the aspects of general practice, including but not limited to: clinical training, basic computer training and computer systems in general practice, self care and work-life balance, and running a small business.
We are committed to training the next generation of Doctors.
